Coach Brad called Faith to ask if she would fill in on his softball team today because they didn't have enough players. Faith was so excited but wanted to know if it was okay that she didn't have a costume:).
I was so nervous about her getting hit by the ball the whole game. Thankfully, She never got a ball hit to her so I was relieved! She went 3 for 4 in the batter's box and scored 2 runs!
The first time she ran home, she stopped just short of the plate. The catcher had the ball and could have tagged her, but they just stared at each other. Our side was yelling "Tag the plate! Tag the plate!" while the other team shouted to the catcher, "Tag her! Tag her!" Well, after about what seemed like an eternity, Faith finally touched the plate and the umpire waved her "Safe!". Let me just say, we were all rolling with laughter. What a fun day!
